I make those wrinkled potatoes, too, but I’ve always called them Syracuse Salt Potatoes. I’ve been told that there are/were salt mines in Syracuse and that’s where the recipe originated from. 🤷‍♀️

Love this idea! I think your wrinkled potatoes are similar to Salt Potatoes, a Syracuse summer staple. They sell sacks of potatoes with the salt packet inside at the grocery stores. I love for them in the summer: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_potatoes
