This is hilarious! We’ve all been there - since my phone is always on me, I use my clock timer all the time for reminders. Love the Besh cookbook, I have books in My pantry of cancelled chefs that I want to keep but do not want to get scolded by friends checking out books in my kitchen. Is it wrong?? Making sweet potato pies now…Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a wonderful read! I have experienced the perils of timing and ovens in the past as well. I had a great brined turkey (crispy skin, luscious meat) experience that led to the only time lots of leftover turkey meat was heaped into containers and whisked away by my extended family. Since we have not hosted Thanksgiving in a while, I have not done it again. But it still is discussed to this day. I win Thanksgiving!!! 🤣

Good to know my Harris Teeter Butterball will win over an organic, fresh bird! After a few years of watching my Dad & husband struggle with ye olde carving knife and fork, I invested in an electric knife which is hands down the BEST gadget acquisition ever made. Even if we only use it once a year- it makes carving that daunting bird so much easier.
